Maria Clara Torrens Mazzei

Maria Clara Torrens has been Manager of International Relations of Programa Innova ( UPC -Technical University of Catalonia) from 2002 to 2007. She Is Industrial Engineer, from ETSEIB – UPC; Master in Integrated Project Management - UPC, and Technician in Entrepreneurship; IESE, Honour Member of National Technical University of Kharkiv, Ukraine. She has coordinated more than 50 European Projects and been partner in about 100. She has also been Manager of European Projects for different organisations (Centre of Wireless Internet of Nortel Networks, General Council of Industrial Engineers, 2001, Catalan Institute of Technology, 1987) and also has cooperated with the Spanish Ministry of Industry and Energy as consultant (1985-86). She also has worked in the academic sector, being Professor of Electrical Engineering (Technical University of Catalonia), 1980-85 and directed and teached different continuous training courses (Creativity, Training Need Analysis, Human Resources, Innovation Management, Economic and Technological Intelligence, Training of Trainers Master, Air conditioning, Heating Installations, Solar Energy, Telework for women in prisons and IT for unskilled people)In 1994 Maria Clara received the “Chevalier des Palmes Académiques”, awarded by the Ministry of Education of the French Government. 1994. She has done numerous publications about: Energy, Environment, Training, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Women and Technology, IT for border line people, between others.
